Frequently Asked Questions

ABOUT HOPE | What are the objectives of HOPE?

HOPE’s general objective can be summarized as fostering groundbreaking entrepreneurship. This objective is divided in more concise and smaller objectives. These objectives are based on an analysis of the existing educational programs and comparing them with the ambitions and potential of the three partners:

  • Renewal and expansion: presenting challenging content, work forms and learning environments;
  • Promotion of an entrepreneurial culture at the universities. This will encourage students and staff to think in terms of how to put their individual and collective knowledge to sound economic advantage.

The three universities were already working together successfully in a number of areas but what was lacking was a coherent approach and for entrepreneurship to be integrated into the entire education program.

HOPE's objective is to change this situation. To reach this objective HOPE is working on a coherent entrepreneurship program for all students which will inspire and encourage them to embark on groundbreaking entrepreneurship with an international focus and appeal.

This approach is characterized by new combinations and collaboration programs among disciplines, teaching programs, students and entrepreneurs, business and researchers and lecturers. The aim is also to attract talent – particularly from abroad, talent that will become a long-term asset to the region’s business community.

ABOUT HOPE | Which parties are involved in the HOPE program?

ABOUT HOPE | What has HOPE achieved since it started?

HOPE reports

HOPE update letter 2009

———

HOPE has achieved a lot since its start, ranging from supporting and organizing smaller and larger events to bringing more entrepreneurship into education at the universities.

We identified several phases in the process between awareness and growth and achieved specific targets per phase. The phases are:

  • Creating awareness and experience- HOPE inspired lots of students, alumni and staff members in the field of entrepreneurship. This is achieved with the organization of several events, ranging from a small impact to a high impact as with an event as the Holland Entrepreneurship Week. HOPE also introduced the Premium Track, a track of 6 inspiring (multi-day) events throughout the year that brings you from business idea to reality.

More information on the activities within this phase can be found at GET inspired.
  • Deepening knowledge - HOPE has brought entrepreneurship into the educational programs of the three universities. With a focus on minor courses (bachelor phase) and master programs, it is possible to deepen your knowledge in this field.

More information on the activities within this phase can be found at GET educated.
  • Doing - HOPE offers a pre-incubation program to offer all those who are starting up support and coaching. Each year, started in 2009, HOPE helps several starting entrepreneurs.

More information on the activities within this phase can be found at GET started.
  • Growth - For the more esthablished entrepreneurs, HOPE offers specific education, support and network events.

More information on the activities within this phase can be found at GET growing.
